About

Steven B. Cowan wanted to be a science fiction writer since he was about 14 years old. After several short stories were rejected by Isaac Asimov’s Science Fiction Magazine, he decided to become a soldier instead. He served six years on active duty with the U.S. Army Reserve, employed as both an Artillery Fire Direction Chief and a Unit Clerk. Then he attended college on the G.I. Bill, graduating with a B.A. in Sociology. Sensing a call to Christian ministry and academia, he went on to earn an M.Div. and then an M.A. and Ph.D in Philosophy. He has since strived to fulfill his calling as a Baptist minister, Christian apologist, and philosophy professor. As he now enters his twilight years, he finds himself returning full-circle to that 14-year old’s dream of writing science fiction stories. If you’re visiting this website, that dream has come true.

Here at Mountain Homestead Books, you will find information about the books that Steve has self-published or plans to publish, as well as links to other materials related to his work and ministry.
